1. Choosing based on price alone
Everyone has a budget, but your entertainment is one of the few parts of your wedding that your guests will experience for most of the day.
A cheaper DJ may seem like a good saving initially, but if they struggle to engage the room, have unreliable equipment or fail to keep the dance floor full, it can affect the entire evening.
Instead of asking:
“Who’s the cheapest?”
Ask: “Who will give us the best experience?”
2. Not checking reviews
Reviews tell you far more than a price list ever can.
Look for reviews that mention things like:
Professionalism
Communication
Keeping guests dancing
Working with the venue
Being a great MC
Helping the day run smoothly

3. Forgetting that your DJ is also your host

Live entertainment
Real weddings show what actually happens—not just the best five seconds.
8. Forgetting to think about the whole day
Many couples only think about the evening disco.
But entertainment starts much earlier.
